Pastor Don Robertson welcomes you to Faith Community Church. Don became the pastor of Faith Community Church in 2001. He served in various ministries prior to coming to FCC. During his seminary training, he worked in an inner city mission in St. Louis, MO which ministered to youth, the homeless, and needy families. Don also served as a Youth and Evangelism Pastor at First Christian Reformed Church in Thunder Bay, Canada in his first pastorate. His second pastorate was as a solo pastor in Coulterville, Illinois at Grandcote Reformed Presbyterian Church. Don was raised in Dinwiddie County, Virginia. He graduated from Covenant College (B.A.) with a major in Biblical studies and a minor in music. He also graduated with honours from Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis, MO where he received a Master of Divinity degree with a concentration in church planting. Pastor Don is presently working on a Doctor of Ministry degree from Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, MS. Don loves to share the gospel with all people and has a passion to see the church pursue the Great Commission. Reading, singing, writing music, and fishing are among Don's favorite hobbies. His wife, Cathy, earned a Bachelors degree in music from James Madison University in Virginia and serves as our volunteer church choir director. She also serves on the church worship and praise teams. Cathy enjoys reading, singing and scrap-booking. Don and Cathy have one son, Micah, that they homeschooled. Micah serves as the church's power point coordinator and enjoys singing in the choir. He recently received his Associates Degree in business and has been accepted into the Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston, where he plans to pursue a business degree in Management Information Systems. The Robertsons look forward to getting to know you. They consider it a privilege to serve the Lord in Pearland and the surrounding communities.
Our Youth Director
Matt Fowler is the youth director over our Junior & Senior High Youth. His ministry is called "Deep and Wide" because he seeks to help our young people develop a deep, grace-centered relationship with Christ and reach out to the world with the message of the Gospel. Matt's wife, Monica, is our church pianist and serves on our worship praise team. Matt loves sports, especially the Astros, and hopes for a future world series victory! Matt graduated from the University of Houston Bauer College of Business in Marketing and currently works for Wholesale Electric Company in Houston. He and Monica have three children: Ezekiel, Evelyn, and Elizabeth. Matt deeply loves the Lord and looks forward to serving our youth. Keep him and his family in your prayers.
